The pizza here was great, but the breadsticks were so much better. The location of the place is a bit scary, but the food is totally worth it. The only thing that concerned me when I was dining here was the older employees were kind of pushy and seems a bit stressed out. The other employees were great, but it seemed like a lot of people had issues with just the one guy.

This place is attached to the hotel and set back from the main road, so initially trying to find it in the dark was challenging as there wasn't much lighting. I went there with my 9 and 10 year old children. The first thing I noticed was a strange smell inside. I couldn't tell if it was musty, mildewy, or what. The kids thought the play area was really cool even though they were much too old for most of it. I did question the cleanliness of the kids area and the restaurant as a whole, though. The kids thought the cheese pizza was just ok, said there was too much marinara sauce. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the pork was REALLY good - flavorful and tender. All in all not a bad experience but probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back if I'm in town again.

This is a hard one for me because Yelp really let me down. I was under the impression that this would be a food highlight of the trip. The pizza was fine, but I feel like this place could be so much more. Cheesy Lee's has the perfect setup in an old motel. The kind of hole in the wall place you wanna tell your friends about and then it's ruined by their weird and cheesy logo and average everyday pizza that will drive you broke. The staff was friendly I just really hoped for all I read about. If I remember, the salad bar that was so highly spoken of was over five dollars... For one trip. A second or third was extra. This would be fine if the pizza wasn't so expensive. A 14 inch pizza is their largest size (a medium in my book) and the only ones worth getting are 20 bucks. A medium pizza for 20 bucks? That is incredible. Leaving full is an expensive task for a group of hungry people that were hiking all day. Usually ordering pizzas for a group is a relatively cheaper option, which is why we did pizza one night. This is not the case at Cheesy Lee's. Our group of five ate cheaper at Smokin' Dave's. We drank more beer there too. Brat

Great pizza place set in a creepy old hotel. I really relied on Yelp reviews for this because my family thought I was crazy when we pulled up and walked into the old hotel. However, don't let that stop you from trying this gem. The salad bar was fresh and had a lot of options. The pizza was great. We had a cheese, The Summit, and a Block and Cleaver. All were delicious with ample cheese, sauce, and toppings.

This is the best pizza I've had in Colorado! I'm not really a pizza person, so it takes an extremely Stan out pizza to get my attention. We got the single trip to the salad bar, which was a well stocked combination of fresh veggies, meats and cheeses. They are simple ingredients, but they were fresh, and there were a lot of them!!! This place is located adjacent to the Elkhorn Lodge, a 140 year old hunting lodge where Mr. Stanley (the owner and builder of the Stanley Hotel) used to stay on his hunting trips before and during the construction of the Stanley Hotel. It is an unsuspecting gem that is off the beaten track, and well worth wandering out of touristville for. Lee hails from the garlic capital of the U.S., Gillroy California. He is the one who will greet you, take your order and wait on you the whole time. He runs the show, and was so accommodating and grateful that we chose his humble restaurant. The place is huge!! It has an entire 5th of the main room filled with kids toys. It's looks like a fantastic spot for kids! They have an over sized checker board at the entrance, and a game room for grown ups just before you get through their door. There happened to be a set of Uno cards at our table, but we were too hungry and tired to play... Next time!!! (Because I will be back there!)

I'm not sure what is happening at this place, but: A) the vibe is weird, vaguely in the "scary youth camp" genre. B) the pizza could easily be outdone by some thing frozen at the grocery store C) PBR drafts are $1.

Off the main drag and located inside an ancient hotel called Elkhorn Lodge, Cheesy Lee's was a nice little surprise. We got the Fourteener which was loaded with meats on a thin crust and was rather tasty. Not the best but this place is very family friendly and quaint. They have a pretty decent salad bar and a fountain where one can get refills is nice too.

Very good pizza and unlike most of the chain pizza places ! I LOVED the hint of honey in the pizza and bread sticks bread! Definitely a place to try while you are visiting the Estes Park area!

Great atmosphere and delicious pizza! It is very welcoming and we loved the card games on the tables! Family oriented. The staff was very friendly and the food was freshly prepared.

If you want pizza in Estes Park, Cheesy Lee's is the place to go. From the previous reviews, it is incredible to me how people are complaining about the setting. You can see that it is in an old building so yeah it isn't modern or luxurious by any means. However, that is half the fun of the place. If you are looking for good pizza and enjoy live music/ a quirky unique settings, this is the place.

See my review for the Elkhorn Lodge. Everything written in that review applies to this place, located within said lodge. I can sum up the review quickly....the pizza is frozen, the salad bar needed restocking and the cleanliness of the restaurant is suspect at best. My advice is to stay far, far away from this place.

Pretty darn good pizza! Hot, very cheesy but the cheese is well cooked. I generally like my pizza a bit more well done (and might request it that way next time) but it had that browned look to it and great flavor. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. They do have a small selection of bottled beers and wines. Atmosphere is more like a fast food joint... Id prefer more of a restaurant with a bar, but you Cant have everything! Here's hoping a place that has invested in food quality can survive on this little strip of road outside the national park (great view from the parking lot!!)

Family loves this place but I am not a fan. Maybe it's a midwest thing. They have a gluten-free pizza crust that is a hit in our house.

You might feel like you're in a Scooby-Doo cartoon but disregard the location because the food is phenomenal. We ordered the cheesebread, and the garlic sauce was delicious. We also experienced the largest calzone ever. The staff and owner were so friendly and welcoming. Great little find in Estes Park.

A humble pizza place with good pizza options and slow but friendly service. Set In a rustic environment with plenty of parking. A great play area for kids keeps the family happy. Gluten free crust is above average. The gluten free pizza was very good. Overall, pizza and hot wings were delicious. Avoid the downtown Estes Park tourist crush.

A hidden gem in Estes Park! This family owned restaurant is part of the Elkhorn Lodge complex located at the west end of Elkorm Avenue just past the main drag. Tons of character, the best pizza we have had in ages and a great place to hang out and relax.

  • Andrea R.

For not being an Italian style of pizza (my favorite), this exceeded my expectations. The crust tastes so homemade and the toppings I chose hit the spot right on, the tropical pizza: ham, bacon, pineapple, mandarin oranges, and sprinkled with cinnamon. Genius!

  • A P.

First off, i did not eat here. Now that being said, here is why I didnt! THE SMELL!!!!! The smell inside was like musty, moldy, and kind of horse pooey. There is nothing appetizing about that! We sat down, thought about whether we should walk out because the smell was making us sick, then just did the right thing and walked out.

Didn't really want pizza on vacation, but few places are open late in Estes Park. The pizza and breadsticks were good, and the service was friendly. There is a very large play area with tons of toys to keep kids occupied. Our son loved it!

I read the reviews and expected amazing food...It was right! They got the order wrong but quickly fixed it. The owner even checked on us. Its kind of far from the city center but worth the walk.

GREAT hidden gem. Amazing pizza! Tom makes the dough himself and it's fantastic. Wonderful, casual, delicious family restaurant. We'll come back!!

If you have a group, especially one including kids, this is a good choice in Estes Park. There are some imaginative pizzas, and plenty of room for larger groups. If you order the pizza with ranch, be sure to ask for the sauce on the side - my pizza was literally drowning in the ranch and I had to use napkins to soak up some of the stuff. The location is also convenient, a block or two off of the main drag, meaning that you do not have to circle endlessly for a parking space.

We ordered two pizzas for delivery and they were both delicious! The service was great and they were right on time for delivery. We got the "spring fling" specialty pizza and we designed our own with meatballs, basil, garlic and spinach. I recommend ordering from them.

I went to Cheesy Lee's on a Tuesday night for dinner with my brother. We walked in and appeared to be the only ones there at 6 pm. The restaurant seems much bigger than it needs to be, unless it fills up in the summer because it definitely was not full the first week of June. We split a 14" The Tropic pizza. I enjoyed the pizza, especially the cinnamon sprinkled on top. But as seems to be the case with many other reviewers, it doesn't agree with everyone. I got a trip to the salad bar with the pizza and was thoroughly impressed. The toppings options are plentiful. Atmosphere: 2 stars Pizza: 3 stars Salad Bar: 4 stars Overall: 3 stars

Was visiting Rocky Mountain National park and we were in the mood for some pizza. Quick google and this place seemed to have good reviews so we checked it out. First off, if you're looking for some fancy place with prices to match then this is not your place. If you're looking for reasonably priced good pizza and outstanding service, then check this place out. First, the guy that greeted us when we entered was incredibly personable and immediately had us laughing as he showed us to our table. Second, the pizza was very good and their small was plenty for my wife and I to spit. Third, pitcher of beer only ran us $10, which from where I'm from is a steal. Overall great experience. Only downside is we don't live there or we would definitely be back.

School cafeteria pizza, no salad bar so they sold us a plate of lettuce, cheese, and a few veggies. Seems kinda dirty.

    (2)
  • Robert R.

First off, Cheesy Lees is inside the Elk Horn Lodge by which all standards is dirty. The restaurant it self was very clean. The staff was very polite, knowledgable and helpful. The Pizza itself was very normal. We were not impressed at all

Weird location, good food. The old hotel this resides in is on the verge of ghosty and creepy, but the breadsticks were excellent and the pizza had a delightful crust and sauce. They had a TON of takeout orders while we were sitting there, so clearly a busy business, just not dine-in!

My husband and I stayed in Estes Park this past weekend. While at our hotel we looked for any place that would deliver. I found Cheesy Lees online & decided to try them instead of a national chain (Dominos). Even though they were very nice on the phone, and even though they delivered quickly, I am still only giving them 1 star. I'll explain why. My husband ordered wings. He said they were just ok. I ordered bread sticks with marinara. And we ordered their dessert cinnamon sticks. My breadsticks had such a sour beer taste that I couldn't finish even one. I love beer breads. This was awful. I was starving--and I couldn't eat them. I tried the cinnamon sticks. They were slightly better but the icing stuff was just nasty. It was some type of marshmallow based dip. I went to bed hungry that night. I paid over $20 to go to bed hungry. I'm a fair reviewer. You can see my past reviews and know I tell the bad with the good. I believe this review to be fair. We visit Estes fairly often (few times a year). I will not be a returning customer.

I have no idea how the pizza tastes; no one answered the phone (its 8 and they close at 10). Finally after trying a few times I was put on "hold" by someone then hung up on. Then I called back and the other person sat on the phone, saying nothing. Lol if you don't feel like working, let me know so we don't waste each other's time. Weak. Ill be checking out village pizza instead.

Came in on a cold winter night. Me and some friends were the only ones in the place and not only was the food AMAZING. But the staff was incredible and Lee himself served us and treated us well. I would recommend if your down for good pizza and cinnamon sticks. Also is very family friendly :) great place!

We came on a Saturday night after a day in the Rocky Mountain National Forest at the ravings of our friends. At first I didn't get what was so great about the place- it is huge and was pretty much empty. You order at a counter and they bring the food to you. I had trouble deciding on what I wanted but ended up with a meatball sandwich and couldn't believe how yummy it was!!! We all ordered sandwiches which were on kind of weird-looking but super delicious-tasting pretzel rolls. We all loved our sandwiches and also enjoyed the chips on the side. Their dessert display was empty which was a bummer but the desserts sound good too. And this was a very affordable place to eat- they have great prices. We were pleasantly surprised!

Completely horrible. Ordered two different pizzas and an order of wings. So bad. Pizza was terrible. Could not tell the difference between the pies. Different ingredients but couldn't tell the difference between them,. Both nasty. I mean nasty. Yuck. How does a place like this stay in business? Junk. Nasty. Wings were completely gross, almost raw. Skin was snap back at you. Gross and more gross. The owners should be ashamed of the crap they sell as food. Nasty crap. Would never recommend this place. Yuck I mean YUCK!!!!

I loved this quirky place. It was in a bizarre, historic lodge that felt like it's been forgotten about. We ordered two pizzas - one being the Mac N Cheese pizza. They were both delicious. It was Saturday night and there was a band playing cover songs in the corner. Supposedly it's haunted, but you have to call ahead for ghost tours. I would definitely go back.

THE TRUTH We decided to try a new pizza place in Estes after 15 years of visiting here. All I can say is what the hell is this hole?!? We were greeted by a woman with neck brace in a supposed haunted hotel, red flag number one. Pictures of big foot and old chandeliers hung from the walls, there was NO ambiance at all! No music and no television. You could hear a pin drop. We ordered pizza, wings, and bread sticks. Are you people out of your mind reviewing this place? Idk where you are from but God do I feel lucky that this isn't the best pizza I've ever had. The chicken, I won't even call it chicken was Tyson or bargain brand nuggets that were microwaved until warm and served with welting vegetables. While we waited in agony for our pizza the table next to us reminded us that we should run, they were playing UNO! One of the children complained in misery that her stomach hurt after eating the salad bar. The mother urgently requested where the bathroom was located. May I remind you this family also requested ketchup, something this establishment does not offer even though they pride themselves on having the best microwaved chicken strips in town. Our pizza arrived and my father felt a tostinos pizza would better fulfill his appetite. As I refilled my drink at the Pop fountain I was greeted with the sounds of a mechanical shooting discharge that made filling up soda quite unpleasant. We sat in silence while children played on a small carpeted area with an old couch that looked like something Estes park hitch hikers do meth on. The neck brace woman paced around us making it hard to even share a conversation. People around us left with lots of leftovers, best idea was to probably feed the wildlife the leftovers but on second thought I take that back, animal scat would cover the mountains. After my second piece my stomach began to rumble. Something was not right. Cheesy Lees?! How about cheesy lees please don't give me diarrhea. My whole family began to fart and belch because of lees cheese. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD do not eat here and stop encouraging this! They promote hillbilly antics and having to perfect their recipe 16 times, for the love of all that is good in the world it's time to let it go! All I can say is STAY AWAY!!!

We found this place on Yelp during our recent trip to Estes Park. We visited before their busy season began so everywhere we went was pretty slow. Cheesy Lee's was no exception. I would imagine during their summer months, this lodge is swamped with people. The food is average. We certainly had our fill but it was your pretty standard pizza. The service was fantastic. The staff was friendly and catered to our every need. We especially enjoyed their locally brewed beer selection. Dining options are limited in Estes but this was a nice stop that would be especially fun and affordable for the kiddos.

We were on vacation in Estes Park and decided to use Yelp reviews to find a good pizza place. We walked from downtown Estes Park to Cheesy Lee's and once inside should have followed my gut feeling to leave and go somewhere else. This restaurant is located inside Elkhorn Lodge. We were one of three families there and one family left after getting their drinks. That should have been a sign to leave as well. We spent sixty dollars on two pizzas (The Block and Cleaver and Hillbilly Margaret) an order of cheese bread, an order of cinnamon bread and five drinks. We saw a stack of UNO cards on the table to pass time while we waited. The cards were crusty and sticky. The cheese bread was average, the pizzas were heavy with a too thick tomato sauce that I had to scrape off. The crust was not cooked well and it just had a poor overall flavor. The thick, yellow, garlic butter sauce made everyone at the table gag just looking at it. The cinnamon bread was decent except a few pieces tasted like garlic. We were all very hungry when we arrived and we left a lot of food and did not ask for a to go box. This place needs a lot of work. There is no ambiance; just a feeling of old, creepy, and dirty. The restrooms are gross and the rest of the lodge is dusty. On a good note the young man taking orders was polite and the lodge has great history. It would be a great if it was taken care of and preserved in a way that was enjoyable for the guests.

Want to visit a haunted historic landmark & eat good pizza? This is the spot for you! Located in the main building of a historic landmark (one of the 1st buildings in Estes Park- very cool & creepy). The pizza is good (the harvest pizza was great). Very cheesy. The breadsticks are a must-have too. I would avoid the salad bar however, unless you are dining close to opening (the salad bar had not been refreshed & looked scary). All-in-all, the place was unique/interesting/eerie & the pizza was good. I definitely recommend!

    (4)
  • Russell S.

The pizza was mediocre. The salad bar was stale and subpar. The place is a dive. They did have large tables so it was a good place to take a large group. There is a play area for small kids and Uno cards on the table, so it is family friendly. The pizza came pretty quickly.

A little too cheesy for my taste. If you like extremely cheesy pizza, this place is for you. Great customer service though. Many different choices of pizza as well. Ask about the kitchen ghost for a interesting tale!

Great pizza-hot and yes, cheesy. Breadsticks are yummy. Another great find in estes-definitely the best pizza in estes. Family friendly... Gigantic tv, games on the tables, and a big play area for the kids. Staff is great. A little off the road, but worth the find. Will be back for sure. Oh and they offer delivery!

My wife and I ordered a twelve inch Amazing Harvest and cheesy bread delivered to us. The veggies were super fresh and everything was incredibly tasty. We were so impressed that we decided to dine there later in the week. Our experience at the restaurant was just as wonderful. We got another twelve inch--split between the Amazing Summit and the Amazing Buffalo Chicken. Great pizza, incredibly friendly service, excellent choice. Best pizza in Estes Park.

Very family friendly , comfortable atmosphere. The owners were very genuine and nice and helpful with tips around the area. We ordered 3 large pizzas and they were all very tasty. They had several beers available and although we didn't order a salad, the salad bar was impressive. I'm so glad we came here for our Christmas Eve dinner away from home.

BF and I were staying in a nearby hotel and had a craving for some pizza. We found a coupon for free breadsticks with a pizza order and decided to try cheesy lee's. We ordered breadsticks and a large pizza- half buffalo chicken and half amazing harvest. Pizza was good- fresh vegetables and lots of cheese! The breadsticks were amazing-sprinkled with lots of cheese and delicious sauce for dipping. Our order was ready 10 minutes after we placed it. We walked from our hotel to pick it up. Cheesy lee's is located in the Elkhorn Lodge(one of the oldest buildings in Estes). I think it's worth it to try the pizza just to explore this cool old building. I wish we would have stayed to eat there- they had a good beer selection and it looked like a fun place to eat. Was this the very best pizza of my life? Probably not. Is it worth a try if you are hungry for pizza in Estes? Definitely. Order some breadsticks!

We saw the good reviews on Yelp, so we figured we'd give it a shot on our way back from Rocky Mountain NP. The experience was odd. First, there was no one in the hotel or restaurant. Second, the staffed seemed nice overall. It seemed like this could be a family restaurant. The food itself seemed to be okay. We ordered the cheesy bread sticks and a pizza. The breadsticks were good. The pizza seemed to be a little too greasy and the meat that was on it seemed very obviously pre-packaged and made my boyfriend's stomach a little upset. I'm not that picky, but my boyfriend said it was disappointing. Overall, it was a meh experience and a little disappointing.

So my boyfriend and I were visiting Estes Park on vacation for my birthday. The first night we got here, we decided to order in because we were tired from the trip. We ordered delivery from Cheesy Lee's and it definitely was not a pleasant experience. My boyfriend called and ordered and said it was nice talking to the person taking the order, however. That's what warranted the two stars. We ordered a medium Mac and Cheese pizza and 10 buffalo wings and 10 barbeque wings. The total was a little pricey but we thought it may be appropriate for a small town place. The man on the phone told us it would take about 50 minutes. About an hour and a half later, we still had no order. We called the place to let the owner know what was up, because we were only two miles away from the joint. He didn't even let my boyfriend speak, just kept insisting that it would come any second. Fifteen minutes later, the delivery guy arrives - unrepentant. He hands us all the extras for the wings and my boyfriend noticed the ranch sauce spilled all over the inside of the bag. He mentions it to the delivery guy and he didn't care at all. Just brushed it off. After that we finally sit to eat the food and it is straight up mediocre. The wings were mushy and lacked flavor. The Mac and Cheese pizza was made with Kraft which was pathetic and the crust was okay. There was so much fat on the wings I started to feel sick and we threw most of that food away. I would avoid this place for sure. It's disappointing and the employees are shaky in their customer service skills. Very poor experience.

After reading all the wonderful Yelp! reviews, I was excited to try Cheesy Lee's out. We walked past a number of pizza/salad places that smelled great walking through downtown to get to our car to make the quick trip to Cheesy Lee's. First of all...this place is tricky to get to...Siri gave us bad directions and was driving me crazy. Turns out, this place is INSIDE of the Elkhorn Lodge. There is one sign but if you miss it, you'll be going in circles for awhile. Go near the horse stables down the dirt road and enter the old rustic saloon looking hotel, take a right, and there it is. There was nobody there...which I like, but I wondered how long the salad bar had been sitting there without being refreshed. It is also a strange ordering system. We went to the counter, they told us to sit down, and return to the counter when we were ready to order. We ended up getting the salad bar and a "Summit" pizza. The pizza came out in about 5 minutes...I was shocked how quick...we just finished loading up our salad plates! By the time we dug into the pizza, it was already cold, or lukewarm at best. The salad bar is average...reminds of a Pizza Hut salad bar. The pizza was not bad but not good either...very doughy...like a frozen pizza you would bake at home and cut into little squares. I really wanted to like this place, but it was just not that good. Sorry! We took most of the leftover pizza home and it did actually taste better once it was reheated.

Should have just went to walmart and got a tostitos frozen pizza! Would have been the same but 90% cheaper. Maybe Bob's pizza would have been better.

Really good pizza. Overpriced like everything in Estes Park, but they are tasty. Expect a lot of cheese. That seems to be their thing.

I've had better pizza in a 3rd world country (Bolivia). I hate to bash places but this pizza is just not good it's bland and flavorless. I can't see how this is the highest rated pizza place in town. If I were you I'd stick to frozen pizza from the local Safeway.

Best. Kid. Restaurant. Ever. I could frankly careless how the food tastes. I'm so pleased with this place thus far, I'm actually writing this review before I've even tried any of the food. The fact that they have a HUGE toy room for kids to play in was a very nice surprise. The staff was excessively polite as well. After receiving our food, I must say the breadstick were AMAZING and the pizza was delicious as well. Did I mention the staff was excessively polite?? And by staff I technically mean the family that owns and operates it. Tom, the owner, took time to chat with our family and was genuinely concerned about our overall experience. Everything was amazing. If we lived in Estes, this would be our weekly family outing.

I would like to give a review but never got to try the food. After sitting there for 15 minutes while the one employee cleaned table's around us without ever acknowledging us, we then left. The place was in a cool old building but as others have said, "no atmosphere". We were determined to have pizza so we found another spot.

Our family group recently ate here and ordered several of their offerings. We all agreed that the different types of pizza we sampled were very good. The sandwiches here are not what you would expect. The Chicken sandwich and the meatball sandwiches were both very bland and tasteless. For example the meatball sandwich was 2 meatballs sliced in half on a hamburger bun with maybe a tablespoon of sauce. The salad bar however is exceptional. It had a very wide variety of options and everything was very fresh. The dressings were not watered down and there were several choices. I would go back just for the salad bar. The couple that operates this restaurant in this hotel which is supposed to be haunted are very friendly, efficient, and helpful. When I hesitated on which beer to try I was offered a free taste which help me make up my mind. This is a good place to go if you don't want to eat downtown and deal with parking.

We were the 2nd group of diners in the large restaurant at about 6pm on a Monday. After a little difficulty finding the place (in the old Elkhorn Lodge, which could be cool if busy,) we thought the atmosphere was very awkward--no music or happy hum at all. We could hear the servers' conversations, and I'm sure they could hear ours. The service was ok--you order from the counter, including beer/wine, and wait at the table. Salad bar was decent and had dark, leafy greens and not just iceberg (which looked a little off.) Also had feta, which was a plus. We had a pepperoni pizza and The Harvest vegetarian pizza. The pizzas were decent-to-ok (very cheesy, but sauce lacked spark.) Between the average taste and the dead-silent Monday evening atmosphere, we were left feeling blah. Atmosphere really played into our poor dining experience. If it had been busier or even had music, it would have been rated 3 stars for food.

The atmosphere at Cheesy Lee's was fantastic! An old building with lots of character. We enjoyed talking with the family owners and the pizza and breadsticks were delicious!

We love pizza and are excited to have found Cheesy Lees! The breadsticks are wonderful- we just got the original but we plan to save room next time to try the cinnamon ones! Loved the pizza as well and the service tops most places! Really friendly and they seem to truly care about getting it right! Even my son, who is a picky eater, loved it and was bummed that it's only in Estes Park! Highly recommend getting pizza at Cheesy Lees!

Cheesy lee's has a new location in The Elkhorn Lodge- and it is fabulous!! We just ate there last night and it was super good!! We loved their pizza at the old location-so glad to see they relocated to a new much larger location. They really gave the Elkhorn dining area a much needed face-lift.. The Pizza is always fresh and home made dough is to die for.. We love their selections and the service is great. Would highly recommend. They now also offer fresh baked desserts, muffins etc... They looked YUMMYY!! The bakery display looked really good..

Four stars for being one of the only places in Estes that delivers. I don't eat gluten, so I got a salad. It was great. Others said their wings and sandwiches were good as well.

Our last night in Estes, my husband and I wanted to have a nice, low-key dinner. Pizza sounded good. We were imagining something fresh, hoping for some locally sourced ingredients. We went to Yelp to see which pizza place in the area had the highest reviews. Cheesy Lees was it. Long story short, we were so disappointed. The pizza really seemed like something that might have been frozen. I have to say the service was good, the people working there were friendly. For that, I'll give an extra star, but we won't be going back.

So so sad to say that in spite of calling in our order at 7:45 pm (there is time stamp on the phone), it is now 9:20 and I have no pizza. They said it would be 40mins. When we called back the driver was on the way, that was 35 minutes ago. My children are quite hungry and I'm getting more irritated by the second. At this point it doesn't matter how good the pizza is.

Awesome place! We were in Estes Park for a conference and decided to try Cheesy Lee's out because of the reviews and gluten free options. Pizza was delicious, service was excellent. What I really loved was that there were games/cards at every table, so we actually interacted with each other rather than playing on our phones (what a novel concept). Will definitely be going back next time we're there.

Cheesy Lee's pizza is a thing at which one should not sneeze. You won't find fleas or peas or skis, but geez, the cheese--the cheese!--it's bound to please. Eat on the patio to enjoy the gentle mountain breeze rush through the trees and put your mind at ease (unless outside it's 12 degrees, some kind of deep freeze). All kinds of people--Sudanese or Nepalese or Taiwanese, those from Cadiz, all hes and shes and even zhes, from OGs to retirees (so hard to please), from amputees to abductees to adoptees--each inductee to Cheesy Lee's agrees with C's cheese expertise and guarantees that you will wheeze (with delight): Cheesy Lee's is the bee's knees! But eat too much and you might get some kind of pulmonary disease.

We got pizza delivered from here twice bc the manager was very helpful in making a pizza that was safe for my daughter, who has food allergies. He knew what ingredients were in the crust (no dairy or egg - my daughter s allergies) and made a pizza without cheese for her. The pizzas are good and there is a wide variety of toppings. The delivery people were nice. We would definitely order from here again.

We had pizza earlier in the day, so we decided to try their sandwiches, especially since they deliver "free." Being vegetarian, we ordered the "Amazing Veggie" sandwich. It's a nice, toasted sandwich for $6.00, but it's not very big. Yeah, it comes with a pickle, and a small bag of chips, but, for most people, it's just a snack. We were happy that we ordered salads with ours. We ordered the "Amazing Caesar Salad," and we should have been on to something when it was listed as having "iceberg lettuce." It does. In fact, in was very similar to the "Garden Salad" in that it is the only Caesar Salad I've ever eaten that had carrots, purple cabbage, and spinach. The croutons come in a separate package that you open, and add yourself. So does the dressing. It was a decent sized salad for $6.00, but calling it a "Caesar" is a stretch. It's more like a garden salad served with Caesar dressing. The reason I rate this restaurant so high is because they deliver free of charge, and they deliver more than just pizza. You can get pizzas, salads, wings, breads, desserts, and beverages all delivered right to your hotel room, and that's important in a snowy city like Estes Park. It's not great, but I still like it, and I especially like the convenience.

DON'T BE TRICKED like we were, this place just opened a week ago so they must have had all the employees and friends rate this place high. Pizza and wings were the worst I have had in a long time. We were so disappointed we had been driving and hiking in the rocky mountains all day and this was rated high on yelp just to find they had stacked yelp. I am from Buffalo NY and we know two things Wings since that is were they originated from and Pizza. The owner came by which was nice and ask how the wings were. I said I am from Buffalo NY and they aren't very good, he persisted to let me know that they were good and the wings were from Buffalo NY. Since the owner obviously didn't care what his customers are saying and I just wanted to be left alone with with my family and crappy food I stopped talking so he would leave. They get their wings in a bag from Buffalo then bake them. I don't know anyone that bakes their wings unless they are health nuts, wings are always deep fried then dipped in "franks red hot sauce" and butter. The owner didn't even know what "franks red hot sauce" was. The pizza was horrible too it barely had any sauce which was nice since it was pretty bad then they put as little cheese as possible to save a few bucks. Our 3 kids who normally love pizza wouldn't eat the pizza. A few other bad things, it is right out of town so you don't get to enjoy Estes Park, the people that take your order are 13-15yr olds and if you ask them questions about what you are ordering they grab a menu and start reading it to you. Oh and the only beer they have on tap is miller. I am not trying to be mean to these people I am just trying to warn you so you don't ruin your great day in the rocky mountains.

Cheesy Lees is special. My girlfriend and I love pizza. We read reviews of good pizza places and go try them so we have had some really good pizza of many different types. Cheesy's Lee's was pretty special. We both enjoyed the taste, toppings, crust and felt we had found something unique in Estes Park. In fact we went back a second time during our 4 nights in Estes Park. The owner was on sight and gracious. Very very good pizza.

We were headed to Smokin Dave's for dinner last night, but the wait was way too long. We saw this place down the street and decided to give it a try. We were so glad that we did. The pizza started good, but got better with every bite. The help was fantastic, and they made you feel at home. We will definitely be going back. Fellow Yelpers need to give this place a try.

FRESH and DELICIOUS PIZZA! Also, the price is right, and the restaurant is super clean. We also really enjoyed the friendly service. If you're not a big fan of cheese, just tell them when you order the pizza to go light...the pizza is super cheesy (hence the name). But, if you like cheesy pizza, this definitely your place! Hands-down, the best pizza place in Estes Park! We'll definitely be back! :)

I think it was priced reasonably and the owner was very nice and friendly to us, HOWEVER, it was like a totino's pizza only slightly more cheese. The crust was thin and not crisp. The sauce wasn't seasoned, and the cheese had no flavor. Also there was no crust, which I like in order to hold the pizza, and also indulge in the bread that I really crave. Not going back...

The most appreciated aspect about Cheesy Lee's was the customer service. They are awesome, from the people I dealt with on the phone (3 times) to the driver who delivered 11 hot pizzas to us. The pizza was great too. We had 30 very satisfied dinner guests.

visited while in estes park for vacation. had breadsticks and the mac and cheese pizza--my husband had chicken on his half of the pizza and said it really added something. it was really like kraft mac and cheese on a pizza but I thought that was really great! the elkhorn lodge where it's located is an interesting setting, the front desk staff will tell you stories about the building! we went to several pizza places all over Colorado this week and this was one of our favorites.

My wife and I checked this place out on our recent trip to Estes mostly due to the glowing reviews on yelp and the concierge at our hotel. The location was a bit away from the main "tourist" downtown area, but it was easy to find and is a stoned throw from the entrance to RMNP. This is place is locally owned and operated by an extended family. It certainly has some local character and charm. For what it's worth, one thing I always note in a restaurant is the condition of the restroom. Theirs was clean, updated, and well attended to. When we first arrived, one of the owners quickly and enthusiatically greeted us at the walk up odering window, and we soon settled on some breadsticks and one of their specialties, the "Fourteener." We chosed the smaller of the two sizes (12") They have a variety of specialty pizzas, lots of topping options, and although we passed on them, the wings looked tasty. They offer a handful of indoor tables, but like most of the other customers, we pulled up to a table outdoors to enjoy the mild summer weather and beautiful surroundings. Their wait staff was attentive and appeared to be genuinely interested in making sure our needs were met. We were served our breadsticks first. They were very tasty, nicely baked, served with their homemade sauce. The pizza was amazing, loaded with toppings, the veggies were crisp, the meats flavorful, and they didn't go overboard with the cheese, which I enjoyed. The crust is thin, crispy. They cut their pizza in squares, just the way they roll. Overally, this was one of the better little pizza joints we've encountered in a while. Would definitely go back.

This place is AMAZING!! We went over for lunch one day while we were vacationing in Estes Park. The staff was very friendly and interactive. Our family ordered breadsticks and the special of the week which was a Bacon Cheeseburger in Paradise Pizza. It was all soooo good. I highly recommend this place!!!

Because of their high reviews we thought we'd try this place. It was the worst pizza all three of us ever had. It seriously tasted like an extra salty frozen pizza. Horrible. To make it worse their soda machine didn't even work. After a long day we were looking to have a great meal but instead got crappy food and crappy service.

Would not go back. The crust was nice and crisp and thin but could not taste any sauce and the cheese couldn't really taste the cheese. For them bragging about 5 types of cheese I expected when I picked up a slice that there would be nice hot stringy cheese falling off it but this was not the case. Wonder if they ran out of cheese? One of my problems and I should not have ordered the Hawaiian Special pizza is I don't like pieces of chicken or pork on a pizza and this had chunks of pork on it. Just did not like that and had to pick them off. It's too much like a fast food restaurant with ordering at the counter and the coke and soft drink type machine. If I wanted fast food I'd have gone to some other fast food joint but at least maybe there the food would be good. I have to say I could eat the pizza but it was the worst pizza I have ever had. Village Pizza in town is much better. Wish in this old lodge they would have an old fashioned dining room with items like chicken and dumplings, stews, corn bread, etc. It's a cool old place and needs dining that fits with it. The person who took our order was more than nice but I won't be going back there, ever!

Absolutely "Fantabulous" pizza!. We got here yesterday and ordered from them on a local's recommendation. They delivered in the dark and snow at 8pm. I have eaten lots of pizza in my 32 years, and I can honestly say this pizza was delicious. I tried to sneak some away from the wife so she would not see how much of it I was eating. They sent us a coupon for $5 off our next order, and another for a large 3 topping pizza for $9. They are great, and I would recommend at least trying them. KC from Austin, TX.

We enjoyed our dinner at Cheesy Lee's last night. We ordered the Fourteener, a couple of local beers for the adults, and a specialty soda for our kiddo. The pizza has a different combination of ingredients (and that's true for some of the other pizzas they offered, too) than what you'll find at standard pizza chains, and eating dinner at a table outside made the experience even more fun. The staffers were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that there's a Confederate flag displayed inside the building. I'm not easily offended, but it bothered me to see that flag - and all that it stood for - displayed outside of a museum. Cheesy Lee can hold whatever personal and political views he or she likes; but s/he might want to take the flag home and replace it with a photograph of one of the restaurant's tasty pizzas. Or a photo of Estes Park. Or pretty much anything else that doesn't symbolize slavery and such a regrettable chapter from our nation's past.

Pizza was disappointing. It tasted so generic, from the dough, to the sauce, to the toppings. It also seemed undercooked. It reminded me of pizza I would see on a buffet at a casino or something. The wings were really soggy (my husband specifically used the phrase "mushy") and he wouldn't eat any, which is very unusual. There are virtually no options for pizza delivery in Estes Park, but I would go out rather than order this again. I wanted it to be good, because I love supporting local businesses, but it was a huge disappointment.

Service was great and so were the breadsticks and wings ... But the sauce that came with the breadsticks was cold and the pizza was "eh".

The veggie pizza was wonderful and the cinnamon sticks the best I've had! Really fresh dough. The cost was high--$18 for a 14" (large) pizza, but I guess that's typical in a small town. Pizza in the Park is about the same. If I remember correctly, the cost included delivery. I don't like that you can't save $2-$3 by picking it up.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a good place for pizza in Estes. The business is veteran owned and military friendly. The owner was more than hospitable and gave us free breadsticks. His wife also unexpectedly baked us cupcakes as it was our anniversary. The pizza is delicious and we will DEFINITELY be coming back when we're in Estes again. Great local establishment!!

Cheesy Lee's is more than a great surprise, Myself and two friends who had been in Estes Park for backpacking and hiking decided that after a long day we would go find a pizza place. We stopped in at cheesy lee's not knowing what to expect, but we sure were glad we did! I can not express how much Cheesy Lee's has now raised the standard I have for pizza! All of the ingredients were fresh, the tomatoes were diced by hand, the beef was quality, the Canadian bacon was fantastic, the sauce was delicious and the breading was tasty, hand tossed right in front of us and had the perfect composition, it was not soggy, but had structure. We had the Famous 14'er and a side of the very tasty breadsticks that had shredded parmesan and butter on top, but to our surprise after polishing off all the breadsticks and eating the pizza thinking that there was no way the food could get any better the owner came out and gave us a side of the cinnamon breadsticks! I get shivers down my spine just thinking about the cinnamon breadsticks... They were like eating a slice of heaven, perfect in every way! They had a wonderfully soft texture covered in butter and cinnamon sugar, and you are given a very sweet and thick whipped cream to dip them in and surprisingly that made them even better! I usually come up to Estes Park only once a year for hiking, but I think that Cheesy Lee's will have an influence on a decision to come even more often! The absolute best pizza I have ever had, undoubtedly the best cinnamon sticks on the planet! If you have never had Cheesy Lee's you are missing out on one of the great experiences in life! Thank you, thank you, thank you Cheesy Lee's!

Cheesy Lee's is AMAZING. And don't worry if you can't figure it out--they'll be sure to tell you. This is a very casual place to grab some great pizza. When I arrived the parking lot was packed and most tables were already occupied by other families. The table we found had not yet been bussed but a quick wave at the elder Lee solved that. There were plenty of options on the menu for the adventurous pizza crafter and some sandwiches and salads available in case you want something lighter. Although they don't yet serve wine, Lee's offers lots of local brews, Boylan's, and a soda fountain. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the price was pretty reasonable. Lee's uses high quality ingredients spread to the brim on a delicious crust. Although I would have liked some more meat on the Summit, their basic 'combo' offering, I have to say it was a truly great pizza. The cheesecake was good and there were plenty of toppings to choose from. Overall, it was a great place to start out with dinner on a casual, family vacation. Lee's offers free delivery too, so I may wind up ordering again before leaving the area.

Very pleased to have Cheesy Lees not far from our house. We especially enjoy "The Amazing Harvest" a vegetarian blend of fresh spinach, black olives, mushrooms, artichokes, onions, green peppers and their amazing cheeses. The quality is excellent. The quantity of ingredients ts plentiful. We enjoy taking the pizzas into the park for picnicking. Also good for entertaining guests.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century.
